Bloodhound by Ground Zero five times cloned
Los Angeles - He is one of the greatest heroes on four legs: Trakr. Following the terrorist Asnchlägen of 11 September 2001 was the highly sensitive sniffer dog, the last surviving victims under the rubble. Now there are five genetically identical offspring of the super-sleuths!
The U.S. company "Bioart International" produced five clones of Trakr. They came from December to April for the world and have been delivered to its owner.
The ex-police officer James Symington had worked side by side with Trakr. In April, the dog died at the age of 16 years. But now can look forward Symington over five "new" Trakr.
"They all look exactly the way down to the smallest detail," said the native-born Canadians to "Los Angeles Times. If the puppies also have so much talent, he'll have them trained as sniffer dogs.
The company "Bioart International" offers animal cloning normally for 140,000 dollars (100,000 euros). Symington, however, triumphed in a competition. The five cloned puppies were produced in a South Korean laboratory.
